12th-place outing for Owens in Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway
Jimmy Owens pulled off the roof of his Koehler Motorsports ride for the weekend and joined a 44-car Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series field at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) for the 33rd-annual Topless 100 on Friday and Saturday.
Owens picked up a heat race win on Friday and earned a front-row starting spot in the second $5,000-to-win feature. Jimmy fell back to finish seventh after 25-laps.
Jimmy started 14th in the 100-lap, $50,000-to-win finale on Saturday and recorded a 12th-place finish.
