Thornton seventh in Scott Bloomquist Memorial

Ricky Thornton Jr.’s lone outing over the weekend took the Koehler Motorsports team to Volunteer Speedway in Tennessee for the Scott Bloomquist Memorial.

The event marked Round 7 of the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries. Thornton had a slow start to the night but advanced to the $20,008-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. He then charged forward in the 50-lap feature, gaining 12 positions to finish seventh.

Thornton currently sits third in the latest FloRacing Night in America point standings.
