Jimmy Owens lands on podium in Harold Hardgrove Memorial at Lake Cumberland
Heading up to the state of Kentucky after rain took away the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series show, Jimmy Owens signed into Lake Cumberland Speedway (Somerset, Ky.) on Saturday afternoon for the Southern All Stars-sanctioned Harold Hardgrove Memorial.
Topping his qualifying group, Owens picked up a heat race win which put him on the pole for the 50-lap, $12,022-to-win feature event. Jimmy led the first 23 circuits before Jason Jameson snuck by him and eventually took the checkered flag. Owens wound up third after Devin Gilpin also got by him.
