Jimmy Owens takes point lead with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Florence Speedway

Hunting down the points lead over the weekend, Jimmy Owens rolled into Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Ky.) on Friday to kick off a doubleheader through the state of Kentucky with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.

Finishing runner-up in his heat race, Owens started from the second-row in the $10,000-to-win opener and landed inside the Top-5 in fourth. Jimmy started a little further back in Saturday's feature at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) on Saturday, but still managed a Top-5 finish in fourth. He trailed Devin Moran, Josh Rice, and Joseph Joiner while Jason Jameson completed the Top-5.

Cook is now fourth in the series point standings.
