Trio of top-10 finishes in Show-Me 100 weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway
Ricky Thornton Jr. and the Koehler Motorsports team embarked on a Memorial Day weekend tripleheader at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, for the 33rd annual Show-Me 100.
The three-day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event opened with a pair of preliminary features. Thornton began the weekend with a solid fourth-place finish on Thursday, then improved to a runner-up result in Friday’s Tribute to Don & Billie Gibson prelim.
Earning a front-row starting spot for Saturday’s $75,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Thornton settled into a top-10 rhythm and ultimately recorded a seventh-place finish in the 100-lap finale.
With the strong weekend showing, Thornton now holds a 15-point lead atop the latest LOLMDS standings.
