Jimmy Owens races in home state of Tennessee at Volunteer Speedway
Racing close to home over the weekend, Jimmy Owens checked into Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the first night of the unsanctioned-Volunteer 50 weekend.
Qualifying 10th-quickest in his group, Owens started his 25-lap preliminary feature from the fifth-row and finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
Earning his spot in the $50,050-to-win finale through a B-Main, Jimmy gained eight spots in the 50 lapper to record a 12th-place outing.
