Koehler Motorsports attends reopening weekend at Ultimate Motorsports Park
All three Koehler Motorsports drivers were in action over the weekend, as Jimmy Owens joined the Koehler brothers at Ultimate Motorsports Park (Elkin, N.C.) for the Ultimate Southeast Series finale on Saturday afternoon.
With 31 Late Models in the pit area, Jordan laid down the fastest lap in his qualifying group while Jimmy was fifth-quickest and Evan recorded the 14th-fastest lap in his group. Needing a Top-6 finish in his B-Main to transfer, Evan recorded a ninth-place outing.
With $7,500 on the line in the feature, Jordan led the first 27 laps before suffering a flat with just 13 laps to go. Owens quietly moved into a podium position and placed second when the checkered flag flew while Koehler made his way back to 13th. Jimmy trailed Donald McIntosh while Ben Watkins, Carson Ferguson and Gray Parton completed the Top-5.
