Fifth-place finish in USA 100 with Southern All Stars at Beckley
Heading North to West Virginia, Jimmy Owens continued his regional tour by competing with the Southern All Star Series at Beckley Motor Speedway (Beckley, W.Va.) on Saturday afternoon for the USA 100.
With 24 Late Models on site, Owens followed up the second-fastest lap in qualifying by picking up the victory in his heat race. Rolling off from the second row in the $20,000-to-win feature, Jimmy moved into the runner-up position but faded late to land just inside the Top-5 in the 100-lap main event.
