Owens Enters the Kyle Larson Presents Event at Bulls Gap

Jimmy Owens entered the Kyle Larson Presents FloRacing Late Model Challenge at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Thursday night. (Rick Neff image)

Forty-five Super Late Models tackled the 4/10-mile, high-banked oval, and after qualifying fourth fastest in his group in time trials he raced to a runner-up finish in his heat race to lock into the seventh-starting spot for the feature.

Unfortunately, Owens battled the handle in the feature and ultimately retired to a 22nd-place finish.
