Owens sixth in High Bank Heist during busy stretch with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series into a busy week of competition, Jimmy Owens started off his week with a pair of $10,000-to-win events at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway and Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa).
Owens opened up the week strong with a sixth-place outing on Monday before a 16th-place outing on Tuesday in the Kosiski Family 53.
After a single off day, the Koehler Motorsports team was right back in action on Thursday night at Huset's Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) for the first night of the Silver Dollar Nationals presented by MyRacePass.
Recording a pair of 16th-place finishes in the $10,000-to-win prelim features, Owens started the $53,000-to-win finale and recorded yet again another 16th-place finish.
In the point standings, Owens currently sits ninth.
